Birgit Vogt-Majarek

Birgit is a founding partner of Schima Mayer Starlinger. For more than ten years she has jointly led the firm’s employment department, which is one of the biggest in Austria. She advises and represents domestic and foreign companies in all issues of individual and collective employment law, as well as in corporate and administrative law. She also advises executives on employment law issues from the preparation of the contract to its termination, and she has strong expertise in corporate restructurings, industrial constitution law, cross-border staff assignment, compliance, working time and data protection law. Birgit is a board member of the Ius laboris alliance, whose only Austrian member is Schima Mayer Starlinger. Due to this longstanding partnership, she has deep expertise in cross-border employment law matters and frequently advises international corporate groups and supports them with their market entrance in Austria. Birgit is a sought-after author and lecturer on various employment law and HR-related topics in trade publications and other media, most recently articles concerning working time, social media, discrimination and internal investigations.
