Anderson Mori & Tomotsune (Japan), Corrs Chambers Westgarth (Australia and Papua New Guinea), Fangda Partners (China), Kiely Thompson Caisley (New Zealand), Kochnar & Co (India), Lewis Silkin (Hong Kong), Rajah & Tann (Singapore and Thailand), and Yulchon LLC (South Korea) received recognition by The Legal 500, Asia Pacific for their labour and employment law practices.
For another year, the Ius Laboris member for Japan, Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, was ranked Tier 1 in the category of ‘Labour and Employment: independent local firms.’ Lawyers Yukiko Imazu, Kazutoshi Kakuyama and Hideki Thurgood Kanoh all received recognition as ‘Leading Individuals’ by the publication.
Our newest member, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, was Tier 2 for Labour and Employment practice in Australia, and John Tuck was highlighted as a ‘Leading Individual’, while their office in Papua New Guinea was Tier 1 for ‘Leading Firms.’ In China, Fangda Partners was ranked Tier 2 for “Labour and Employment: PRC Firms” and partner Bo Zhou was acknowledged as a ‘Leading Individual.’
Ius Laboris member for New Zealand, Kiely Thompson Caisley, was awarded Tier 2, with four lawyers in the spotlight: Andrew Caisley appeared in the ‘Hall of Fame’, Peter Kiely and David France were accredited ‘Leading Individuals’, and Scott Worthy was a ‘Rising Star.’ The Labour and Employment practice of Kochnar & Co. in India received, once more, a Tier 1 designation, and Vijay Ravi was accredited as a ‘Leading Individual’ and Debjani Aich as a ‘Next Generation Partner.’
Lewis Silkin Hong Kong moved up to Tier 3 in Labour and Employment this year, with a special mention to Catherine Leung and Kathryn Weaver as ‘Next Generation Partners.’ Rajah & Tann Thailand received Tier 2 in Labour and Employment, while Rajah & Tann Singapore made Tier 1 in ‘Labour and Employment: local firms’ and received ‘Leading Individuals’ accolades for K Muralidharan Pillai SC and Desmond Wee. Yulchon LLP, our member in South Korea, was ranked Tier 3 and partner Christopher Mandel was listed as a ‘Next Generation Partner.’
