Greg McGinnis

Greg has worked in all areas of labour and employment law, with a particular focus in union negotiations, labour disputes, litigation and employee relations. He also has a focus on construction labour relations, and has represented construction employers and employer associations in a variety of OLRB proceedings. Greg has also represented important players in the airline, retail, rail and mining industries. Greg regularly appears before adjudicative tribunals, including the OLRB, the HRTO, grievance and interest arbitrators, and courts at all levels. Greg has extensive experience working with large national and international employers, but many of his clients are mid-sized local employers who rely on him as an extension of their human resources department. Greg’s objective is to find practical solutions to real problems, so that his clients can focus on their core business. He is adept at explaining the law in a comprehensible way to non-lawyers, as well as to foreign audiences. Greg served for several years as an officer in the Canadian military, where he gained his first experience in management and leadership and where he learned to communicate plainly and directly.
