Summary

There are new rules coming into effect in some parts of the world that place duties on trustees of pension schemes to ensure their investments meet ethical standards. It's no exaggeration to say that this could have a sizeable impact over time on how employees' pensions are invested all over the world.

However, what we are starting to see is just a beginning and there are many countries that have no ethical investment rules as yet. But we expect what we see now to be the beginning of a trend – and we will definitely be watching this space.
