Margarita Ortiz

Margarita has been an associate in the firm since 2009, specialising in consulting services and legal advice on global mobility and immigration. She has more than ten years of experience advising on the legal status of expatriates in Mexico as a result of international assignments, as well as providing legal counsel to Mexican nationals expecting to be transferred abroad. Her experience includes procurement of work permits for foreigners and their families with restricted and unrestricted nationalities, amendment of immigration status, extension of temporary resident cards, obtaining permanent resident status and navigating the naturalisation process. She also advises companies and foreign employees on compliance with immigration duties and handles proceedings before the immigration authorities, and assists companies with obtaining the appropriate registration certificates.
