KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht strengthens its Berlin office by recruiting an employment law team from Greenberg Traurig. Together with the well-known partner Dr. Kara Preedy, two further partners Konradin Pleul and Holger Faust as well as other team members will be joining KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht. The Berlin KLIEMT team will thus grow to a total of 16 professionals and will move into new, larger premises in August 2024.

KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht is continuing its expansion course, this time at its Berlin office where it brings a well-established employment law team on board, including Dr. Kara Preedy (53), Konradin Pleul (40) and Holger Faust (43). Together with four associates from Greenberg Traurig, they will be joining the Berlin office of KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht. The transfer of Dr. Kara Preedy and Konradin Pleul will already take place in mid-March; the rest of the team will then follow successively in the coming weeks. Specialising in advising companies on employment law, the team focuses on supporting transactions, restructurings and transformations, the design and implementation of new remuneration and working time models, issues relating to the external workforce as well as collective bargaining law, new work and employee data protection. Dr. Kara Preedy and Konradin Pleul will become partners at KLIEMT; Holger Faust will become Principal Counsel, which corresponds to Local Partner at other law firms. At KLIEMT, they will join a nine-strong employment law team led by the experienced partners Stefan Fischer and Dr. Jessica Jacobi.

With this move, KLIEMT’s Berlin office will grow to a total of 16 lawyers: the four partners Dr. Kara Preedy, Stefan Fischer, Dr. Jessica Jacobi and Konradin Pleul, Holger Faust as Principal Counsel as well as three Counsel and eight associates. KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht will thereby become one of the largest employment law units on the market also in Berlin.

In August 2024, KLIEMT.Arbeitsrecht in Berlin will move from its long-standing location at Monbijouplatz to larger premises at Dorotheenstraße 33/Charlottenstraße 42. Located on the sixth and seventh floor, the new offices initially offer space for around 20 lawyers, with additional office space for the planned further expansion. Meeting rooms and the spacious roof terrace offer a view of the Reichstag and Gendarmenmarkt.

Prof. Dr. Michael Kliemt, one of the firm’s founders and a member of the management board, is delighted about the new addition: “I am particularly pleased that we have succeeded in gaining Dr. Kara Preedy, one of the most renowned employment lawyers in Germany, who also enjoys an excellent international reputation.
