We are pleased to welcome Burgstaller Preyer as our new member firm representing Austria. Burgstaller Preyer, a prominent law firm based in Vienna, is a niche firm renowned for its expertise in employment and labour law. The extensive experience of Helmut Preyer and Gerald Burgstaller, the distinguished co-founding partners at Burgstaller Preyer, will enhance the alliance’s capabilities in Austria.

We are also excited that Birgit Vogt-Majarek will join Burgstaller Preyer on 1 October. Ms. Vogt-Majarek has been an active member of Ius Laboris for 20 years (and a board member for 15 years). Her deep understanding of the alliance and her experience will be invaluable to Burgstaller Preyer as they integrate into Ius Laboris. Her ongoing commitment and insights will ensure a seamless transition and continuity of service for clients.

“We are very pleased to welcome Burgstaller Preyer to Ius Laboris,” said Sam Everatt, Executive Director of Ius Laboris. “Their exceptional expertise in Austrian employment law, along with Birgit Vogt-Majarek’s continued involvement, will significantly strengthen our service offerings in Austria, the region and across our global network.”

Gerald Burgstaller said “we are delighted to become the Ius Laboris member for Austria, and we very much look forward to Birgit Vogt-Majarek joining our team. Joining Ius Laboris is an important development in our firm, allowing us to service our clients regionally and globally, working more closely with international colleagues on cross-border employment law mandates. Membership of Ius Laboris will also help promote labour and employment law in Austria as the important specialist area of expertise that it is”.

Ius Laboris would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to SMS Law for their outstanding partnership and contributions over the past several years. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in advancing the alliance’s mission, and we wish them continued success in their future endeavours.
