We believe in giving back to the communities in which we operate and demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility through a wide range of initiatives. 

Last year, our member firms showed their dedication by organising events and participating in initiatives to support families in need, help children from vulnerable backgrounds and assist communities facing natural disasters. Many of our lawyers and staff members volunteered their time and provided financial support to NGOs and charitable organisations. 

In September 2023, 23 of our member firms, along with our central team in Brussels, participated in the Ius Laboris Impact Week. They organised a variety of creative activities focused on both environmental and social issues, from cleaning canals in Amsterdam and a forest near Bucharest to providing aid to people affected by floods in Greece. 

Almost all our member firms also provided pro bono services last year. They supported institutions working with children, teenagers, elderly people, women, black people, the LGBT+ community and others in vulnerable situations. Their legal assistance programmes offered pro bono legal services to families, handling hundreds of cases, including child support, workers’ disputes, migration rights, adoption, social security benefits and housing. 

Our members also focused on supporting young people through various initiatives. They donated computers to students, provided scholarships to talented young students and helped them access the legal profession and drive social mobility.
