Matthew Brincat

Matthew Brincat’s practice mainly revolves around employment and pensions, areas that he believes connect both the human and the corporate aspects of the law. Matthew is the founder of the Malta Employment Lawyers Assocation and a co-founder and the General Secretary of the Malta Association of Retirement Scheme Practitioners, which brings together all the licensed pension administrators in Malta. He has also been heavily involved in the formation of Ganado Advocates’ employment and pensions law department and has gained valuable experience in Industrial Tribunal and OAFS proceedings.

Matthew represents the interests of employers as representative for the Chamber of Commerce on Malta’s Employment Relations Board, a consultative board that gives advice on employment conditions to the Minister responsible for employment and industrial relations. He is a member of a number of international employment law organisations, and he delivers lectures on employment legislation at the Malta Employers' Association. As of 2020 Matthew is also a Council Member of the Malta Chamber of Advocates.
