The transfer of personal data across national borders is crucial for the functioning of many businesses. In this episode, we interview Inger Verhelst, of Belgian firm Claeys & Engels and explore the implications of the recent EU data privacy case that invalidated the so-called ‘Privacy Shield’ by which personal data used to be sent from Europe to the US.

We also look at what should happen to the email account of someone who has left an organisation and we think about what employers can and cannot do when it comes to health checking employees returning to the office in the time of COVID-19.
