Georg Schima

Georg is a founding partner of Schima Mayer Starlinger. He advises and represents national and international companies in matters of Austrian and European employment law, corporate law, banking and capital market law and private foundation law. One of his primary specialties is advising on all aspects of directors’ and officers’ liability and corporate governance issues. He is a highly experienced litigator both in court and before arbitral tribunals, and frequently serves as an arbitrator. Georg is honorary professor for corporate and employment law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. He is also a lecturer and author of several books and more than 100 publications in the areas of employment and corporate law, foundation law, corporate governance and white collar crime, banking and capital markets law, civil procedure law and arbitration law. His clients include large and medium-sized companies in the banking and financial services industry, manufacturing, aviation, healthcare and commerce, as well as top executives from all sectors of the economy.
